The Story

Skinners Brewery have spent £100,000 renovating The Old Ale House’s dining room, The Hop Store. They asked for consultation from their friends over at River Cottage to advise on the new and delicious menu for the venue and Camellia Interiors to help renovate and design the interior.

Well known for its fine selection of craft ales, cider and show stopping flowers outside, The Old Ale House launched a brand new menu and revealed their beautifully renovated dining room during the Great Cornish Food Festival weekend in Truro, Saturday 27 September 2014.

The Result

The consulting partnership initially started last year when River Cottage sought a brewery to produce their own ale. With Skinners ethos of using only the finest produce and traditional methods of brewing, they worked together to produce River Cottage EPA. Likewise, when Steve and the team at The Old Ale House wanted to revamp their existing menu, it was time for River Cottage to return the favour. Elaine Skinner, Design Director of Camellia Interiors says “We were pleased to help throughout the project – it is a great example of what can be achieved when three iconic Cornish and South West brands work together.”
