Camellia offers a flexible interior design service for clients in Cornwall and Devon ranging from a simple update to full project management packages. Our design expertise combines a wealth of knowledge and skill accumulated over 15 years in the industry, as well as excellent supplier contacts. Every client is catered for on an individual basis and our design advice is tailored to suit your budget.

With offices in both Truro and Rock and an established team of six full time designers and contractors, we can offer out-of-county clients the value of an on site design service covering the length of Cornwall and the South West of England including key areas such as Trebetherick, Polzeath and Padstow, St Ives, Fowey and Falmouth. For property developments or holiday home investments we offer detailed design consultations to maximise your return on investment, or you can choose our complete interior design & full project management package for a total peace of mind.

We always say ‘One service doesn’t fit all!’, so we respect projects of any size and treat them with equal enthusiasm. It’s great to work locally and build a house up transforming it room by room at a clients pace, and it is equally fun to take on a new build that needs every room doing in just 8 weeks flat!

Full project management service

Our full project service combines the complete project management of your chosen design scheme, with seamless delivery and build. Our clients know and trust us to manage every detail on their behalf in order to create a beautiful and functional interior scheme that is completed on time and within budget.

From your very first point of contact with us, we aim to deliver exceptional value for our clients. Our creative design process uses extensive illustrations, as well as product and sample boards to provide a comprehensive design overview detailing every thing including: measurements, colour, proportions, decorative fittings and finishes required for everything from windows and walls, floors and ceilings to furniture and even cutlery. Through close consultation we will agree on a scheme that fully meets your expectations

  • Consultancy Service

Design consultancy service

If your interior design project is your home, an investment property, place of business or new development, then our Design Consultancy service will help you achieve the look you want. Our senior design associates together with Elaine Skinner will meet with you to establish exactly what you want; including furniture, soft furnishings, wallpapers, paints, timeframes, budget and everything in between! We will get to know what your time scales are and what you hate more than what you like – it always reveals so much more!
Our relationship is key, we take pride in assuring that our service is personal and you are being cared for and heard. Clients say our design service gives them what they can’t normally find and we think it comes down to two things: process and a confidence to question the brief. I’ve always believed that a lot of designers are capable of designing properties and giving a client what they want. What is different with us is how we do it.

Firstly, We pride ourselves on being fastidious managers of the process. We probably spend 5% of our time designing, the rest of it is the paperwork. We’re extremely tight and nothing is left to chance. We use good people and allow them to charge correctly, then they know they’ve got to deliver. Many of our clients are time-poor and often have a finite amount of time here to relax. They don’t want to deal with unforeseen issues or jobs that are delayed. When they arrive, they want everything to be 150% and we get that. So we battle on their behalf and do not allow trade to say ‘sorry, I’m two weeks behind’. It’s all about paperwork and ensuring you have trusted suppliers. Secondly, we’ll question the brief if we don’t think it’s right, and invariably win business as a result. People hire us for our insight, expertise and experience, not as purely as yes people.

At this design stage you may request that we project manage it for you. We will again prepare a written proposal for the work and keep you informed every step of the way.

Home Visit Service

If you are stuck and can’t visualise your ideas, then one of our team can visit you at your home or property. Please note that there is a small fee to secure your appointment, which is variable depending on location, and is a minimum of £95.00. You can visit either of our showrooms to schedule an appointment, make an enquiry online or call us and we will be a happy to come and see you at a convenient time to discuss your project.

Once you have agreed on the materials, we can help you schedule delivery time frames, gather estimated prices and order materials for you, including arranging delivery to your door exactly when you need it. Any items ordered through Camellia will require payment in full at time of ordering. If your project needs fitting or installing, we can arrange that too using our team of trusted contractors, giving you clear pricing and keeping you informed of progress every step of the way.

Depending on the scope of your project, you may decide to engage us to create a design scheme for you.

Showroom Service

If you have a design query, or are simply looking for some expert and honest advice for an interior update, then our Showroom Service is for you. Visit our Rock or Truro showroom and one of the team will be on hand to guide you when choosing paint, fabrics or wallpapers, or to suggest options for window treatments from made-to-measure curtains to Roman blinds. We can take you through our extensive range of quality brands, many of which are exclusive to Camellia, giving you the benefit of our interior design know-how at competitive prices.

We can help you schedule delivery time frames, gather estimated prices and order materials for you, including arranging delivery to your door exactly when you want it. If your project needs fitting or installing, we can arrange that too, giving you clear pricing and keeping you informed of progress every step of the way.

We encourage you to bring in photos of your room (on your phone is fine) along with window measurements so we can estimate costs accurately for you. If you are unsure about providing dimensions, please get in touch beforehand so we can post, or email Camellia’s easy ‘measuring guide’ to you.

Our Showroom Service is completely free of charge, but all items ordered through Camellia will require payment in full at time of ordering.
