The team were approached in May 2015 to design and project manage the full refurbishment of this reverse level holiday home by the sea, ready to let on the high end holiday letting market.
The team transformed this holiday rental home in West Cornwall, reconfiguring and re designing both bathrooms and creating a light-filled fresh interior inspired by the colours of the sea which are the Camellia trademark. A house that was bland with homogenous features, which blossomed to become full of personality and worthy of celebration in a glossy magazine.
When they first visited the property they knew that its current design did not work, nothing reflected the beautiful outdoors. They came to Camellia for help as they needed a design company that could not only design but could project manage and run the complete project with all their trade contacts and partners, whilst the clients returned to London and continue their working lives. They needed someone they could trust and take on their brief. Our clients had a clear vision, but needed us to interpret it and come up with the ideas to make it all a reality in time to maximise there rental potential to hit 2016 running. The challenge was to link the house together through the design flow so that you feel as though you are in Cornwall and not somewhere else, we did this and more and gave them realistic timings as to when the phases would be completed.
This home in Marazion has a front row seat looking out to sea and St Michaels Mount and now has an interior that matches the location, that fits the holiday letting requirements. The refurbishment is now complete and the owners are thrilled with the results. This property is now being marketed for the up and coming holiday season for 2016.
